By accessing and using RateOurSongs.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
RateOurSongs is a music feedback exchange platform where artists can upload their music and receive constructive feedback from other musicians and listeners. Users earn credits by providing reviews and spend credits to upload their own tracks for review.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
- One account per person; multiple accounts are not permitted
4. Content Guidelines
When uploading music or providing reviews, you agree to:
- Only upload music you have the rights to share
- Provide honest, constructive, and respectful feedback
- Not submit spam, duplicate, or AI-generated reviews designed to game the system
- Not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights
- Not harass, abuse, or threaten other users
5. Credits System
- New users receive 5 free credits upon registration
- Uploading a track costs 1 credit
- Submitting a review earns 2 credits
- Bonus credits are earned when your reviews are rated as helpful
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold
6. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Creating multiple accounts to manipulate the credits system
- Submitting fake, copied, or low-effort reviews
- Using automated tools or bots to interact with the Service
- Attempting to circumvent rate limits or security measures
- Impersonating other users or artists
- Spamming or soliciting other users
7. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the music you upload. By uploading content, you grant RateOurSongs a non-exclusive license to display and distribute your content within the platform for the purpose of facilitating reviews. You can remove your content at any time.
8. Account Suspension
We reserve the right to warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Suspended users forfeit any accumulated credits. Appeals can be submitted via email.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the content uploaded by users or the feedback provided. Use the Service at your own risk.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
